Empowering communities to be smarter with water.

Our Story

The Clean Water Works Education Foundation (CWWEF) is a passionate non-profit organization committed to educating and engaging the public on the crucial topics of water reuse and sustainability. Born out of the vision of the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD), CWWEF was created to amplify community outreach and foster a deeper connection between residents, water users, and the vital task of turning waste into resources. Operating throughout LACSD's service area across Los Angeles County, we provide educational programs, STEM opportunities, and hands on learning designed to inform and inspire residents, students and local communities about the importance of water conservation and waste management both now and in the future.

Our mission is to educate the future generations of water users and ignite a passion in future engineers, planners, and scientists to think about a life-long career that supports an environmentally sustainable future.
